Cindy (2/4/2010): Gum Grove Park overlooks Los Cerritos Wetlands, the "Hellman Ranch Property" portion. At this time it's a seasonal wetlands. This once connected to the Seal Beach/Anaheim Bay estuaries and wetlands. There is also a wikipedia page on Los Cerritos Wetlands: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Cerritos_Wetlands There is an effort to save Los Cerritos Wetlands, a restoration project. Part of the wetlands is already publically owned and public participation habitat restoration days are held. When fully restored the view from Gum Grove Park will be awesome. I'm a nearby resident of Los Cerritos Wetlands & Gum Grove Park. I thought this would be an interesting fact to share. Thanks! (report as inappropriate)
